Solar System Maintenance: What DFW Homeowners Should Do
Solar is famously low-maintenance. Here is the short list of what to actually do.
Rinse panels with a garden hose once or twice a year if pollen or dust accumulates. After heavy rain you typically don't need to do anything.
Check your monitoring app monthly. If a string or microinverter drops out, the sooner it's caught the less production you lose.
Keep tree growth in check. Even partial afternoon shade can cut a string's output significantly.
Schedule a professional inspection every 3 to 5 years to check wiring, connections, and mounting hardware. Pure Solar DFW offers a maintenance plan for systems we install.
